Springfield, MO – Missouri State University’s agriculture program is now offering a proprietary selection of Bear beef cultivated from a 3,300-acre working cattle ranch. The Bear ground beef, steaks and roasts are available at specialty meats stores in Springfield.

Some consumers were confused by the program. “I really wanted to taste bear,” said Joey Lopinoff of Bolivar, MO, “I figured if anybody could sell ground bear beef it would be MSU. Next thing I know they’ll open a bakery and sell pastry bear claws that aren’t actually made from bears either.”
