Candidates Continue Running Negative Ads for Spite

Springfield, MO- Although the election ended weeks ago, candidates are still running negative ads for seemingly nothing more than mean-spirited malice. The ads are not only attacking the person’s politics, but personal issues and fabrications. The ads can be seen ad naseum at various time slots and stations.
One Carnahan ad states: “Roy Blunt is an idiot who wears that same stupid tie all the time,” and “Roy Blunt murdered the last unicorn, plunging the world into darkness.” But, the losers are not the only ones financing the ads just to annoying their former opponents. One Roy Blunt states, “Nah Nah, Nah-Nah. I won” while he dances around his new office. Another Blunt ad is just the senator smirking at the camera for 30 seconds.
“I am sick and tired of these politicians at each other’s throats,” said Grant Wright. “These ads take up tons of time and if I don’t see two months worth of holiday commercials I can’t enjoy Christmas.”
Other examples of negative ads include Tom Schweich reading a hurtful and perverted limerick berating Susan Montee; Susan Montee defacing a picture of Charles Baum; and Jonathone Dine making farting noises while saying in a childish voice “This is what you sound like Robin.” All candidates state they will stop the ads once “they feel like it”
