Fire-Roasted Andy’s Custard Announced

Springfield, MO—Andy’s Frozen Custard is announcing a new custard blend following a roof fire to the East Sunshine location. According to sources, the Fire-Roasted Custard will be unveiled next week. The new treat starts with the secret recipe of milk, cream and sugar and features crushed chestnuts, several splashes of Tabasco Habanero pepper sauce, topped with toasty marshmallows and a cinnamon stick garnish. Before serving, a flaming spoon is inserted into the cup.
Inspiration for the Fire-Roasted delicacy came after the store’s distinctive neon sign sparked an attic fire Wednesday afternoon. The fire closed the story Thursday but not the employee’s desire to capitalize on the disruptive event. James Kiorney, a 3-year Andy’s Custard employee said, “we had a little time on our hands so we developed a custard recipe that not only tastes great, but also commemorates our experience.”
The Fire-Roasted Custard is unique as it delivers a spicy bite paired with cool creamy refreshment. “Ah, yeah I’m going to try it, my buddies all dared me to eat it. They dare me to eat a lot of things that are pretty gross, but I’m actually looking forward to slurpin on some spicy custard,” said 18-year old Jeremy Duncanite.
Made fresh every hour using custom machines, the Fire-Roasted Custard will be a seasonal promotion, served along side the Pumpkin Pie Concrete, and may make a return next year if sales meet expectations. A new campaign will accompany the treat with a jingle that suggests “Andy’s makes it fun to be a pyro for a while.”
