New downtown attraction gives thrill seekers a line

Springfield, MO—The home of cashew chicken, diverging diamond traffic lanes and the world’s biggest outdoors sporting goods store now has another first—a downtown zip line. CityZip has opened inside the Heer’s Building adding another exciting attraction to the Ozarks.

“Zip lines are really popular now, so I’m glad to see that trend available for us here in town, we don’t have to drive far now to have a high flying hooah,” said Julius Hobner, a loft dwelling resident.

“This was a no-brainer”, said Rob Goble, a local entrepreneur. “I was frustrated with the on-again, off-again attempts to revitalize the downtown landmark”, said Goble. With minimal investment, and a few gallons of paint, what has been a social eyesore in the heart of the city is now a place of fun and laughter for all to enjoy. “It’s going to bring people back downtown”, said Rusty Post, a downtown resident.

Phase two of this project will feature zip lines directly to local bars, clubs, restaurants and coffee shops. The Coffee Ethic will be providing refreshments for CityZip patrons via a gondola that will carry beverages to the top of the building.

CityZip hours are 10 AM to Midnight. Night rides feature glow-in-the-dark helmets.
