Springfield, MO – Jeweler (by personal request) to The Ozarks, Woody Justice, recently designed and introduced a new line of revolutionary engagement jewelry featuring the Ball and Chain Pendant.
“This concept, developed right here at our Springfield store, puts a whole new spin on the contemporary marriage scene.” Justice proclaimed. “With so many guys unwilling to ask a gal to marry them, or just not interested in anything beyond coitus, I thought, why not put the power to propose in the girl’s hands? That’s where I got the idea for the ball and chain pendant.”
The pendant comes in platinum, gold, silver, or tin foil, making it affordable to women across the financial strata. Meticulously-crafted, the miniaturized, nineteenth-century prisoner’s ball replica can be worn on a bracelet or necklace. A one-inch chain, with shackle, extends from the ball.
“I can’t believe nobody thought of this before!” Justice chimed. “Or maybe they did, but I haven’t seen any patents.” This fall Justice Jewelers will introduce phase two of the new line, the Hearts and Shotgun. The passive aggressive love trinket will consist of a necklace, or bracelet, of mini shotguns separated by tiny hearts.
“Back in the day a girl’s papa wouldn’t hesitate to stick a scatter gun in a reluctant lad’s ribs to get him to do the honorable thing.” lamented Justice. “Nowadays things are, well, a lot looser. I figure, rather than fuss over declining morals, get with the times. Now a gal, in the family way, so to speak, has a stylish way of nudging her current baby daddy to the alter. And it’s all in a light-hearted spirit!”
