Springfield, MO—While dressing to prepare for a workout at the south side YMCA, local man Kurt Tressel said, “these workout clothes make me look fat”. Looking fat and feeling fat the man traveled to the workout center in his automobile early Friday morning.
While resting his breakfast of champions little black donut package on his beer belly, Tressel said he wasn’t sure if going in to the facility would actually help him feel better. “I mean, look at this stupid tight shirt and spandex pants my wife bought for me, was she trying to accent my man boobs and super gut?” he moaned.
According to the Institute of Weight Loss in Alberta, Canada most people seeking to lose weight or “work out” tend to have a inverse relationship with results and unattractive workout gear. Up to 65% of people who don’t feel comfortable in their gym clothing give up exercising after only 3 weeks.
“I used to lift weights with my friend Richie but he couldn’t stand that his love handles could be seen in his tank top arm sleeves. He gave up after week one,” said Nixa resident Jeb Holstrum.
Tressel finally exited his car to stare at the building and watch people enter and exit, while smoking a cigarette. “She looks like she should be working out, he doesn’t. That’s a good color combination, I bet he runs 4 miles a day. She shouldn’t be here, look at that top, tsk-tsk,” he said before extinguishing his cigarette and heading to Aunt Martha’s Pancake House for some comfort food.
Tressel indicated that he would pick up training and exercise when his clothes fit him well and when he looked better.
