Harrison, AR—MonsterQuest plans to investigate an alligator sighting in the Ozarks’ Lake Harrison. Ever since word spread of the alligator sightings in the lake and a nearby creek, locals have been on the lookout for the elusive creature.
“Yeah, I think I’d rather deal with Paul the Nixa Hellhound than an alligator monster in our lake,” said Newton Miller, local lake fanatic. “At least a hellhound can’t swim after me, oh and forget the chupacabra, it has nothing on this gator,” continued Miller.
Over the last two months, a handful of people have called police warning them they had seen a monster alligator. Officers checked it out but came up empty-handed when they were distracted by doughnuts placed by a poorly scribbled sign that read “No Alygaters R Here”.
“It is as if someone has opened a cryptozoology exhibit right here in our back yards,” said herpetologist Charles Junger. “So far we’ve seen turtles, snakes and lizard,” said Junger. Those are the only reptiles confirmed to be living in the lake.
“There was some driftwood up that way and I was like, oh my gosh, is that it?” said Kasandra Menkins. One man, who gauges lengths in 6-inch increments, said he and a neighbor saw the alligator on Tuesday, and believes the reptile’s head was about 18 to 24 inches long. He referred to it as Alan the Harrison Alligator or the Alan Gator.
