Three-term Greene County Prosecutor Darrell Moore on Thursday unveiled his bid to represent southwest Missouri in Congress, as did Everyone’s Brother.
With the announcement, Moore, 51, officially joined an already-crowded group of candidates vying for Missouri’s 7th Congressional District seat, currently occupied by U.S. Rep. Roy Blunt, R-Springfield.
Blunt began a campaign early this year to fill the void U.S. Sen. Christopher “Kit” Bond’s retirement creates in the Senate.
Other Republican candidates — State Sen. Jack Goodman, Springfield auctioneer Billy Long, Ozarks Technical College professor Jeff Wisdom, and Everyone’s Brother — have announced their candidacies.
“Everyone’s Brother is just about all that this race can handle,” claims a state election official. “If anyone else announces their intent to run, well…is there anyone else left? Just me? What the heck I’m in!”
