Springfield, MO – After serving 5 years in the Army, former co-anchor and reporter Jerry Jacob is returning to KY3 giving Ozarkers the opportunity to mispronounce his last name again. Most KY3 viewers are confident that they know exactly how to say the Jacobs’ name, as he was a trusted and welcomed friend who delivered news in their living room for eleven years.
“I’m so happy Jerry Jacobs is coming back – I love him,” said Rachel Honkery who swears that there is an “s” at the end of his surname. “Of course! Yes, he’s always had that as long as I’ve known him,” confirmed Honkery, who has never actually met Jacob/s. Various opinions were voiced. “No, no, no, it is Jerry Jacob. No plurality. One guy, two first names; he’s a firsty-firsty, boy-boy – Jerry & Jacob,” said Ryan Trimmerton.
Sargent Jacob/s has reportedly been intrigued that people are overlooking his three tours of duty (Iraq, Haiti & Afghanistan) only to focus on his surname. “C’mon, it’s easy to remember right?” said KY3 News Director, “let me first say, that I love Jerry, and his last name is Jacommm” as he covered his mouth and mumbled while walking to get a cup of coffee.
