Bed Bugs Bite; MSU Tuck-Ins Awesome

Springfield, MO—Missouri State University is addressing a growing pest concern by offering a “tuck-in” service for all students who are fighting with bed bugs. According to sources, a residence advisor will visit dorm rooms that are reporting pest problems, tuck each student into bed and recite the phrase, “sleep tight, don’t let the bed bugs bite.”
The program has proved to be immensely popular, however results are varied. “When I heard about this program, I called the front desk and reported my room as infested immediately. Our RA is pretty hot, but she’s smart too. I hope she doesn’t catch on for a few weeks,” said Bernie Miller, a residence in Blair-Shannon House.
Other students have voiced concerns over the Universities efforts to rid the dorms of bed bugs. “Seriously, they told me not to let the bed bugs bite. What am I going to do about it? I’m going to be asleep when these things attempt to bite me,” said Rachel Grover, a nerd box resident.
Officials claim that student participation will be vital in curbing the issue. Previous attempts to rid the area of bed bugs have included heat treatments that cost the University $1,000 per application. RA tuck-ins are considered part of normal responsibilities and do not require additional funds.
“No, I don’t mind doing tuck-ins, although it does seem to be a bit childish. If I can provide some comfort to our student population, then every tuck-in is worth it. One of my residents has reported a case of bed bugs for 2 weeks now. I feel so sorry for him!” said a pretty hot RA in Blair-Shannon House.
